MAC Blogger Roundtable: Week 5

RT LogoIt is time, yet again, for the best and brightest in the MAC to voice their opinions on questions posed by one of our own. This week’s host is Temple Football Forever, a Temple site that posed wheelhouse questions for us like point spreads and expectations… giddy up. Of course, they also posed the now weekly tradition of the MAC Power Poll. You can check out the roundtable right here, and here’s our MAC Power Poll ballot and rationale:

  1. CMU
  2. Toledo
  3. Kent
  4. Ohio
  5. WMU
  6. NIU
  7. BG
  8. Akron
  9. Temple
  10. Buffalo
  11. EMU
  12. Ball St.
  13. Miami

Sort of like last week, this week is a wash. How can one realistically judge these teams and have any semlence of rational thought? Temple gets beat by an FCS school, then beats Buffalo. Where do we rank the Owls? Hell… where do we rank the Bulls? Miami has taken their lumps, but it was against pretty darn good teams… but they’re still 0-4. BG? NIU? Toledo? CMU? All with good performances or victories…. each with at least one game that makes me question what the hell is going on. For now, we went with record as the best indicator… next week that changes and we do something different. It will be awesome.
