OTP covers Ball State University sports from the blog perspective in the most overzealous manner possible, proving that as long as there is someone with enough free time you can obsess over anything.

It’s the week before college football begins so of course Edge and I couldn’t leave you hanging. This is the first one of this particular season, our 3rd season of podcasting about the Ball State Fighting Football Cardinals. Rusty? A bit. Technical difficulties? A few. But if this is the starting point for future podcasts from OTP for this season and they only get better from here then you’re in for a treat.
This week’s edition covers things like Pete Lembo’s first offseason, Eric Williams’ departure, the media coverage of the Cards, and the atmosphere at the Scheu. We also touch on Miami and the boats and hoes, superconferences, and Texas A&M. Yes, we reference tortious interference along with buttfierce. It’s a bucket of win all around.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking to yourself that you wish you had some folks who prepped you for the Ball State University spring game, talked about the Cardinals, chatted about Pete Lembo’s new approach to marketing the program, and what all this spring game madness really means. Thankfully for you, that wish was answered with this week’s OTPCast. Joining the OTPCast this week is RV, who is filling in while Edge pursues real world things like rocking people’s faces off in East Central Indiana. Aside from what we’re watching for in the BSU spring game and players we want to keep our eyes on, we also cover things like the rules changes for next season, the Ohio State mess, the Declan Sullivan report, and the UMass to the MAC news that broke this week. It’s a hoot and a half.

Been missing your weekly dose of OTP awesomeness? No reason to continue to go through withdrawal as your faithful leadership team is back full force. This week’s edition is quite the impressive one, as we tackle subjects like the BSU recruiting class, Coach Lembo’s first few weeks on the job, and the bit of negative news that happened on the corner of University and Dill recently. We also touch on our first impressions of Brady Hoke as the head man at Michigan, 0ak-gate at Auburn, the rash of NCAA violations this offseason, and make our way too early predictions on next season’s National Championship participants and our Heisman picks. As a special note this week, your entire staff will walk you through this awesome journey, as RV joins Alan and Edge for his first foray into the OTPcast. Batton down the hatches, boys and girls, because it’s about to get real.

Time once again for the OTPcast and boy did we pick an interesting time to do this one. As a bit of backstory, this podcast was recorded after the initial tweet from 247sports regarding Pete Lembo but before we were able to chat with the sources that led to us publishing our piece on the potential hire. So, basically, the names we threw out as possibilities certainly don’t seem to be all that important at this stage of the game. Edge and I touch on the state of the program, whether Coach Parrish should have been let go, and what a strange few weeks it has been around Cardinal Nation. We also touch on our Bowl picks and give you clearly the best picks to bet against. Sit back, relax, enjoy, let your face get rocked off.

That’s right, kiddies… a game that’s on Friday means an early posting of the best damn podcast on the internet… about Ball State football. This week your fearless leaders Alan and Edge rock out about all things BSU related, including the happy fun time awesomeness provided by a victory. Those have been few and far between so we take ’em where we can get ’em, even against winless Akron. Per usual, we also touch on the national football landscape, like Dan Hawkins’ ouster at Colorado, Cam Newton’s innuendo filled chaos, and we make our weekly selections along with our Buffalo preview and where we think the Cards will stand when the dust clears on Friday evening. Ready yourself and enjoy the awesomeness…

After some technical difficulties with Edge’s home studio, the OTPCast is back and ready to unleash some Cardinal football awesomeness on the masses. Of course we touch on the last two weeks against Toledo and Kent, as well as a preview of this weekend’s Akron game. Suffice to say, Edge and me are expecting a Cardinal coming out party against the winless Zips.
We also touch on the national championship picture, the national landscape with the Boise State situation, as well as Notre Dame’s worst week ever and the expansion of the Big East. We parlay that into a discussion about the MAC and where we stand on contraction or expansion for the MidAmerican Conference. To borrow from Adam Carolla, Got to get it on. No choice but to get it on. Mandate. Get. It. On!

It’s Thursday and time once again for your favorite BSU football podcast. Despite the growing cloud-o-doom over the program, Edge and I rock out about the Cards’ loss to EMU, the upcoming contest at Toledo, and the attitude of fans given the recent couple results. It’s a precarious situation and many fans of the program are teetering on a very fine line between support and apathy. We also discuss the national landscape, the first set of BCS standings, surprises from the last weekend, and of course our weekly picks. After we correctly called the South Carolina upset over Alabama and the subsequent South Carolina upset at the hands of Kentucky, you won’t want to miss this week’s edition of the game selections.

It’s Thursday, so it’s time once again for the OTPCast. Despite the lackluster effort at Homecoming against Western Michigan, that certainly didn’t stop Edge or me from having a good time and it doesn’t stop us today from looking forward to Eastern Michigan and chatting about things like BSU, Homecoming, and the landscape of college football. Who’s #1? What’s going on with LSU? Does Boise have a shot at a BCS title? All these and more in this week’s OTPCast.

So after some technical difficulties prevented us from uploading last week, this week’s podcast comes to you with the usual fun and festiveness that you’ve come to expect. Included in this week’s OTPCast is the CMU recap, looking forward to WMU, the national landscape, and looking around the MAC to see just where BSU can end up should the dominoes fall correctly.
Also this week, since it’s Homecoming and your faithful OTP management is actually in Muncie, we’ve included a nice little incentive. Listen to the podcast, remember the “Phrase that Pays”, and come on down to Scotty’s Brewhouse and enjoy a beer on Edge and myself. It’s a rocking Homecoming and a rocking OTPCast. Enjoy…

It’s Thursday. You know what that means? It means it is time to have your face rocked off by the OTPCast once again. Longing for football? Longing for Ball State info? Then you are in for a treat. A weekly treat that we deliver with the dulcet tones of awesome. Mixed in with Ball State chatter.
Joining your favorite BSU bloggers this week is Adam Jacobi of the always poignant, always funny, and Iowa-tastic BlackHeartGoldPants. We talk with Adam about the Hawkeyes, their loss last week at Arizona, and what Ball State fans need to know about the Cardinals’ opponent this week. Can Ricky Stanzi beat the Cards? Can the defense for Iowa withstand the slants and curls they may see on Saturday? Does any running back’s ACL at Iowa stand a chance? Listen up, Cardinals fans because we’re about to bust some knowledge all over this place.
