Breaking Down the Beneficence Campus Admin Regional

beneficenceIt’s time for the first-ever Card Madness tournament, where you, the fans, will decide who is deserving of the honor of being the de facto champion of Ball State-ness. This field is 68-strong of some of the most impressive graduates and friends of the university there are. Captains of industry. Stars of the silver and small screen. International political figures. Journalism heavyweights. Pizza chain CEOs and brewtastic entrepreneurs. It is literally the most impressive collection of Cardinals this side of the Vatican.

You can check out the details of the Card Madness Tournament here. For now, it’s time to Bracket Breakdown the Charlie Cardinal Athletics Regional!

The Beneficence Campus Admin regional is where you’ll find many of the most influential people in the history of Ball State. Coaches, athletic directors, faculty, and various other administrators all comprise a group of individuals who have made BSU exactly what it has become. This region is also the smallest Twitter population as only four participants have a Twitter presence. That means this region is ripe for upsets and it will be not surprising at all to see a moderately high seed advance out of this region. Our participants (in alphabetical order):

  • Dr. Kay Bales (Current Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students)
  • Bubba Cunningham (Former Athletic Director)
  • Dr. Anthony Edmonds (Current award-winning distinguished professor of history)
  • Karen Fitzpatrick (Former basketball, field hockey, lacrosse coach, MAC Hall of Fame)
  • Dr. JoAnn Gora (Current University President)
  • Dr. Alan Hargrave (Current Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, Director of Housing)
  • Brady Hoke (Former head football coach)
  • Rich Maloney (Former and current baseball coach)
  • Rick Majerus (Former men’s basketball coach)
  • Ray McCallum (Former men’s basketball coach)
  • Dr. Don Mikesell (Former Dean of Students)

  • Dr. Don Shondell (Former men’s volleyball coach, 2nd all-time in NCAA wins)
  • Chris Taylor (Current telecommunications professor, SportsLink director)
