July 25, 2008 was the start of something that frankly has surprised all of us associated with OTP. It was the start of providing coverage, humor, and most importantly a spotlight on the Ball State football Cardinals. I, of course, take all of the credit for the 12-0 regular season that followed, as clearly the team simply found new motivation and hustle because of the blogosphere. You’re welcome, fans.
In all seriousness, it’s an honor and privilege to be able to be a part of your lives, readers, however frequent that may be. It’s not something we take lightly at OTP and we all understand that without all of you this would be totally and completely irrelevant. My thanks also to RV and Edge, the creative team here at OTP, and most importantly to the players, parents, coaches, and staff of BSU for providing us something to obsess over and freak out about. Cocktails to all of you!
